Compressed Air Foam sYstems
Compressed Air Foam Systems (CAFs) are used in firefighting to deliver fire retardant foam for the purpose of extinguishing a fire or protecting unburned areas. CAFs are standard water pumping systems where compressed air can be added to a foam solution to generate foam. The air compressor also provides energy, which, gallon for gallon, propels compressed air foam farther than aspirated or standard water nozzles. It is proven that CAFS attacks all three sides of the fire triangle simultaneously. The foam blankets the fuel, thereby reducing the fuel’s capacity to seek out a source of oxygen. The CAFS solution adheres to ceilings and walls, more readily aiding in rapid reduction in heat.
S3 DVBE has several key relationships with industry leading CAFs manufactures and sells all the products on the Western Fire Supply E-commerce site.
The TRI-MAX 3 Mini-CAF is the smallest system of the portable TRI-MAX family of high-energy Cold Compressed Air Foam systems. This compact hand held unit is capable of producing high-energy foams in the range of 5.1 to 20.1. This means that 3 gallons of pre-mix solution expands up to 60 gallons of finished foam product at a rate of over 90 gallons per minute. See SPEC SHEET and BROCHURE.
Examples: TRI-MAX 3 Mini-CAF, TRI-MAX 3 CAF Pack
A breakthrough in self contained fire suppression technology by TRI-MAX Cold Compressed Air Foam has significantly reduced the potential for an uncontrollable heavy equipment fire. These modest sized systems can be installed on almost any heavy equipment whether industrial, logging, construction, etc. See BROCHURE.
Examples: Harvesters, Fracking Trucks, Heavy Equipment
The TRI-MAX 30 CAF is the Standard in Cold CAFS technology. This extremely versatile system contains 30 Gallons of foam solution that produces approximately 600 gallons of high energy finished foam. The TRI-MAX 30 system allows for a minimum 75-foot standoff distance, which enables personnel to operate the unit without jeopardizing their safety by going too close to a fire. See SPEC SHEET and BROCHURE.
Examples: Airports, Offshore platforms, Hangars. The TRI-MAX 30 compressed air foam system is approved by the U.S. Army to replace the halon and 150 lb. dry chemical systems on all Army flight lines.
This powerful 60 gallon skid unit provides heavy duty fire fighting capabilities wherever needed. This state of the art CAF unit fits pick-up trucks, heavy rescue or HAZMAT vehicles and trailer mounts. This system is capable of having both lines discharged simultaneously, giving it the ability to attack a fire from two directions. With the dual CAF discharge systems the TM Super-60 offers the initial response fire suppression capability of a much larger fire suppression vehicle. See SPEC SHEET and BROCHURE.
Examples: Ideal for industrial sites, flight lines, race tracks, parking garages, heavily populated areas, or anywhere an instant fire truck is needed.
The TRI-MAX Super 70 CAFS unit was designed specifically for challenging emergency vehicle requirements that do not normally provide engine company or water supply operational capability. The TRI-MAX Super 70 will support 2 hand lines for quick attack or emergency/ defensive purposes with limited manpower requirements and is easily refilled in the field.
Examples: This unique low profile component CAFS unit is the flagship product for several fire apparatus manufacturers as the only stand alone CAFS product they will use in their aerial truck company requests.
The Tri-Max Super-SKID Storage System is a unique slide-in skid unit designed specifically to fit with the Tri-Max series of Super Skid CAF systems. Built of impact resistant, lightweight copolymer material, the Super-SKID Storage System provides maximum storage in the limited space available on today’s light to medium weight trucks. Storage space consists of four side mounted boxes and two lower, optional 48-inch long trays mounted on 500-pound locking guides. See BROCHURE.
Examples: The Super-SKID Storage System is built to fit on your new or used light to medium duty truck and provides easy-to-access storage compartments with that augment the tremendous capabilities of the Tri-Max CAF systems.
TRI-MAX technology makes CAFS technology simple and increases the effective duration of your fire suppression efforts and equipment with simple and easy to use stored pressure system that reduces retrofit costs and allows for a simple solution to a costly and complicated system that can save you money, time and increase your fire suppression capability with patented TRI-MAX technology. We assemble the critical components into a complete system that protects any vehicle, airplane or boat. See BROCHURE.
Examples: TRI-MAX can retro-fit our patented technology onto most fire trucks or water tankers with our pre-engineered or custom engineered systems.
